DOES SOMEONE YOU KNOW NEED A WILL
OR ADVICE ABOUT THE LAW IN RELATION TO THE ELDERLY?

This department is headed up by Nikki Barnes. Nikki has long experience of all kinds of work involving elderly clients.

Nikki says "If someone dies without making a will, their wealth could go to the person they least want to have it, such as distant relatives or an ex-spouse. Their family could also lose out to the tax man.

I specialise in wills, probate and powers of attorney. I can also advise about setting up trusts to assist in tax planning and avoidance of care home fees.

Wills start at £90 plus vat which would net the Charity £10.30.

Some Estate matters can run into many thousands, which could net the Charity up to £1000.

The fees are agreed in advance before we know that there is a Charity involved so the discounts come off the normal fees that we would charge. There is no inflation of fees to accommodate the discount.

We can arrange to attend at home or at hospital to advise and to write wills if that is more suitable to your needs."
