Personal Injury - How to Make A Claim
Firstly you need to make sure that your solicitor has all of the information. Most solicitors will accept this over the telephone. Make sure that you are speaking to a solicitor and not a claims company.

Next the solicitor will do a letter to the person or company responsible for your injuries. The other party has 21 days to say that they have received the letter and then three months to investigate the claim.

The solicitor will organise some medical evidence from an independant doctor.

At the end of that period the claim is either admitted or denied. If admitted the medical evidence is sent for them to read and to make an offer of compensation.

If the claim is denied the other party has to send you whatever documents that they have to show why they will not agree to pay compensation.

If the claim is still denied the solicitor will issue Court proceedings to ask the Court to decide who is to blame and also the level of compensation.

The claim at Court is managed by the Court to ensure that the case arrives at Court as soon as it can and with all of the evidence that it needs.
