Andrea Fitzgerald is a solicitor with 18 years prosecution experience in private practice. She is retained by the Royal Mail across the Merseyside, Chester and North Wales area to prosecute on their behalf as well as other Government agencies, in particular D.E.F.R.A. and the Marine Fisheries Agency. This work involves a wide range of criminal issues ranging from straightforward theft to complex fraud matters on behalf of the Royal Mail.

In respect of the work undertaken by Government agencies this is conservation focused and requires consideration of a complex statutory instrument framework and its interplay with European legislation. These cases regularly involve sums in excess of one million pounds and the involvement of the Serious Organised Crime Agency for the purposes of confiscation and recovery. 

Andrea also has considerable experience of dealing with abuse of process applications to stay prosecutions.
